Why Puffiness Hides Your Real Face

A late night, a salty dinner, a glass of wine, or simply another birthday, they all slow the system that drains your face while you sleep. Fluid settles in overnight, and it settles exactly where your cheekbones and jawline should be.

Gua sha is the traditional answer: slow, directional strokes that encourage that fluid to move on. The problem has never been the technique. It's that doing it properly, every morning, with the right pressure, is harder than anyone admits.

The Almorio Electric Gua Sha does that part for you. Warmth so it glides, vibration so the pressure stays even, red light while you work.

In two minutes, your face looks less swollen and more defined. You're not changing it. You're uncovering what was already there.

Why This Works When A Stone Doesn't

A cold jade stone asks you to supply the pressure, the angle and the patience. Most people give it a fortnight. The brass head here warms to skin temperature so it glides instead of dragging, and a steady vibration holds the pressure even from collarbone to cheekbone, the part almost nobody gets right by hand.

Eight LEDs sit in the underside at roughly 620–640nm, the wavelength used across at-home red light devices, helping skin look fresher and more even while you work.

The curved edge is shaped to sit in the hollow beneath your jaw, where fluid gathers and where a flat stone simply skates over.

Three things at once, in the time it takes the kettle to boil. Same principle as a £120 lymphatic facial, on a Tuesday morning, in your own bathroom.

    The Ritual That Changes Everything

Two minutes. That's all. A few drops of oil, start at the collarbone, work upward, and let the warmth do what your hands have been trying to. By the time you reach your forehead your face looks calmer, less swollen, more like itself.

Make it the first thing you do and you'll understand why women say it's the one step they won't skip.

    FAQs

How does the Electric Gua Sha help with puffiness?

It combines three things that work together: warmth to soften the tissue and help the head glide, gentle vibration to keep the pressure steady, and slow directional strokes that encourage trapped fluid to move on. The result is a face that looks less swollen and more defined, usually within a couple of minutes.

How do I use it for best results?

Apply a few drops of facial oil or serum to clean skin so the head glides. Start at the collarbone and sweep down and out towards the shoulder, five strokes each side. Then work upward: neck, jaw (chin to ear), cheeks (nose to temple), forehead (centre outward). Finish back at the collarbone. Two minutes, once a day, ideally in the morning.

Why is this better than a jade roller or a manual gua sha stone?

A stone works, but only if you supply consistent pressure and the right angle every single time, and most people stop within a fortnight. The warmth and vibration take that guesswork out, which is usually what decides whether a tool actually gets used. The warmth also means it glides rather than tugging at the skin.

    check_box

Can I use it every day? Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Yes to daily use. If your skin is on the reactive side, start on the lowest heat and vibration settings and always use it over an oil or serum. Patch-test on your neck first. Avoid active spots, broken skin, and anywhere you've had recent injectables.

    check_box

Do I need oils or creams, or does it work on dry skin?

You need a slip. Used dry, the head will drag rather than glide, which is uncomfortable and can irritate skin. Any facial oil or a rich serum works. If you don't already have one, our facial oil is formulated for exactly this.

How long does the battery last?

Ninety minutes of runtime, which at two minutes a session is roughly six weeks of mornings between charges. It charges over USB-C and shuts itself off after fifteen minutes.

      • I was sceptical about buying this So glad I did. To my surprise it is really effective. It is comfortable to hold, feels a nice weight and really does help with contouring. It is easy to use and the gentle vibration lets you know that something is happening. I could see a difference to my face immediately, but it’s not a ‘salon’ treatment so suspect constant use will be necessary to keep the effects. Lovely to use.
